Holly joined newsPRos in 1999, and has produced much of the firm’s written collateral for clients since then. She is expert in the creation of effective press releases, topical and issue-focused backgrounders and crisis messages, letters to the editor, op/eds and ghostwritten client bylined articles.

In addition to providing editorial support, Holly delivers expert counsel and advice on research and evaluation initiatives, including providing statistical analysis of quantitative data and thematic and pattern analysis of qualitative data.

Holly has been a practicing journalist since 1963, when she started as a “cub reporter” for the San Antonio Express-News. Over the years, she assumed successively more responsible editorial positions, including editor for the Dallas Morning News, feature writer for the Louisville Courier-Journal, and weekly columnist for the Austin American-Statesman. Holly has produced more than 350 globally syndicated health, medical, environmental and scientific articles, subsequently published in print, broadcast and online news outlets in the U.S. and abroad.

Holly earned a B.A at Baylor University in English and communication, an M.S. in social work at the University of Louisville, and a Ph.D. in research and evaluation at the University of Texas-Austin.
