Kara comes to newsPRos with more than 15 years’ experience in the legal field, focusing her expertise in the areas of communications and marketing.

During this time, Kara has been a communications manager, brand and content senior content supervisor, and marketing content supervisor with multiple AmLaw 100 law firms. The combination of her legal background and creative writing skill is of unquestionable benefit to newsPRos clients.

Kara creates, facilitates and manages a range of marketing and communications’ needs, including award and directory submissions, content development for attorney biographies and related experience; thought leadership, such as legal alerts; and contributed content for diversity, equity and inclusion related magazines and publications.

Kara is gifted with the ability to connect with anyone and everyone she meets - making a point to get to know who they are and what matters to them, in order to elevate their needs and goals and provide top-notch guidance and assistance. Her goal is to advance the brands associated with the attorneys, practices and industry groups, and the firms she assists and guides across industries.

Kara’s writing strength comes to the forefront in her ability to tell a story. She does this primarily through individual, practice and firm award and directory nominations, as well as editing and ghostwriting legal marketing materials, alerts and articles.

An Indiana native, who has lived and worked in Raleigh, Wilmington, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Chicago throughout her educational and professional life, Kara resides in Indianapolis with her husband and son. She earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and her B.A. in communications from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
